First on-field activities for DEMETRA DSS

DEMETRA DSS project sampling activities have begun , this is the first step in the fight against nitrates!

Sampling activities began on 02/03/2021  in Area 2 which includes 11 total sampling sites representative of the North Bari area.

This sampling aims to carry out an analysis of the initial status of the identified monitoring area, through chemical and biomolecular analysis carried out by the CNR-IRSA.

For each of the sites,

1 groundwater sample and

2 soil samples will be taken, positioned upstream and downstream in relation to the flow of the groundwater, following the guidelines given in the vademecum for taking water and soil samples.
