Task 3.1 data Collection and processing
To properly fight against nitrates pollution, a 360 ° data collection activity from a scientific, agronomic and technological point of view is required. The research will focus on main national and regional regulations, nitrate pollution in groundwater, monitoring and identification of contamination in Puglia, available databases relating to land use, lithology, intended use, prevalent activities, and the information necessary for the study of the situation of the territory (Region database, Corine Land Cover, ISTAT). Finally, the techniques and technologies for the management and monitoring of the nitrogen cycle in agriculture and possible impacts on the environment (soil and aquifer) will also be studied.
